Tagged!

I was tagged by a fellow Ethiopian adoptive parent, Kerry (semiferalmama.wordpress.com), who Ben and I met during our Parents In Process class at Holt. Many of you can probably guess that I love to talk about myself. So while some of you may dread getting one of these chain-type things I really like them. Narcissist, that's me.

1. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Just one? Oh man...
People who tip less than 20% or are basically awful to wait on. I was a server/bartender for way too long to tolerate that nonsense. Want to get on my bad side? Be a dick to your server. And it's always, ALWAYS, 20% minimum.

2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
South Point, Hawaii.
Because it's beautiful, I feel close to nature when I'm there and Hawaii is a very diverse state which would be a fantastic place to raise my kid.
Although I do really love living in Portland too.

3. Have you ever been searched by the cops?
Nope. Been pulled over several times but never searched. I'm a really bad driver.

4. What is the one thing on your mind right now?
How in the hell do I get my son to nap during the day.
I also have much grander worries related to being a mother but this one is current.

5. Favorite song right now?
Shutterbug by Big Boi. I love it so much, it always lifts my mood.

6. What talent do you wish you had?
Too too many.
But I'll just go with I wish I spoke several languages besides English.

7. Favorite drink?
Sweet tea from Chik-Fil-A. There are no Chik-Fil-As in Oregon so I try to hit one when I'm out of town.
I am a big tea snob and also enjoy hot teas greatly. My current favorite is a Jade Earl Grey which is a green tea with bergamot.
I'm allergic to alcohol so if that's the answer you were looking for sorry to disappoint.

8. In one word, how would you describe yourself?
Abrasive.
I'm pretty rough around the edges, sometimes things come out wrong or not how I meant them at all. This can lead to a lot of hurt feelings. If you know my mother you know the apple did not fall far from the tree in this respect.

I'm not going to tag anyone because I don't think I know anyone who would actually do this that blogs.

You're allergic to alcohol? When did that happen??

When I turned 21, go figure. Even a few sips are painful.
